Nice! Looks like a bottle of Cuvee Rene you're enjoying. Good to see you all getting in some great summer riding.
Weird! I can see an extra post in the RSS feed, but not on your blog. Anyway, I was going to tell you to take your money somewhere other than ODBC. Shit is going down and the rumors are flying! So far I've heard that they are going to stop making Tuppers Pils/Ale. And while they have been using oak chips for the bottled version of the Oak Barrel Stout, they are now going to stop aging it in barrels for the draft stuff. They also just got rid of their sales guy thats been with them for something like 17 years - so guess what - no more Old Dominion Brewfests...
F'em, stick to Clipper City for your local brew.
I had another post up, but the pix were screwed, so down it came for now. ODBC is the Pedalshop sponsor, not the SSOFT sponsor, which benefits from the liquid largesse of Clipper City. I'm just glomming on the keg at the Pshop team's invit.
What you say about the beer may be true, but the reason there's no more brewfest, as I understand it, is that the land they held it on has been developed and a big, fat, environmentally unfriendly office building now squats on the site where once we quaffed innumerable ales under summer skies. Too bad.
BTW, I dig Clipper City more anyway.
Oh, and yep, Cuvee Rene it was. Tasty!
