Down a Beer and Eat a Button for Aldous...

It's the birthday of Brave New World author. poet, and mescalin(e) dabbler, Aldous Huxley, whose personal experiments with peyote served as the basis for his short book The Doors of Perception (whose title, it is said, influenced a young Jim Morrison in the naming of his band). It is an apt time to reread Brave New World...

"Maybe this world is another planet's hell."

This makes for one of the more, hm, interesting bike blogs I've read. I don't need to reread BNW cuz it's one of those that has stuck alarmingly close to memory.

Liz, um, thanks...I think.

"Interesting"...hmm, so nebulous...

Agreed on BNW.

Bnw, 1984, On the Road, The Time Machine, Naked lunch, The Doors, and Charles Bukowski have all made my life since college and my attitude an interesting struggle to say the least. ooohhh my fragile egg shell mind. Damn the mad men. Ignorance was bliss.
